Description

A full bodied, strong breakfast tea. With a rich hue to conjure images of the towering trunks of the glorious trees found in & around the village of Brockenhurst near our home in the New Forest.

What’s in the bag: Kenyan (Tinderet) & Indian (Assam) CTC Black Tea

Preparation: Use 1 bag per person, add boiling water and leave for 3-5 minutes. This is a stronger tea so if you’re enjoying without milk leave for 1-2 minutes.

Info: CTC  is a process whereby the premium leaves are cut, torn & curled to create a strong malty tea

  1. Sarah

Bought this tea as a Stocking Filler for my dad, who likes strong, loose leaf tea, but is very particular about taste and tends to stick to a blend he knows. Two hours after leaving him on Christmas Eve I got a text saying “lovely tea.. just made a drink…mmmmmmmm”.
They plan to have another cup to celebrate Christmas Day and save the rest for New Year…. I think it’s a hit!

At the New Forest Tea Company we love trees as much as we love teas that is why all our packaging is home compostable. The tea tubes can also be re-used as tea storage and you can simply order the refill option at checkout. If you decide to get rid of a tube via compost just remove the outer label and let nature do the rest on the compost. The inner packaging is made of natureflex which will also compost in home conditions. Our tea bags are 100% plastic free being made from cornstarch, abaca & sugarcane, so once you have finished one just pop them in your food waste. For more details head to our Leave no trace page
